Rationale-
What is included in this artifact is the website I created for my class to be able to use to find all of the necessary components of my class. It includes my mission statement, classroom rules and expectations, rewards and consequences, procedures, weekly announcements, Monday Morning Inspiration, instructional style and strategies, and diversity. This website was created on February 10th, 2021. I produced this website for the purpose of informing my class and completing my assignment.
As I previously stated, the importance of this website is for my students and their parents to be able to view it and find all of the necessary components of my class to use as a helpful tool for them. The website I created shows evidence of: Standard 4 - Learning Environment – "The competent teacher structures a safe and healthy learning environment." The evidence of this is stated clearly in my mission statement, my classroom rules and expectations, and the rewards and consequences. For example, "In my class, I will have rules and expectations for my students because I want to ensure that my class is a safe and fun learning environment." In this sentence I showed the evidence of the Standard 4-Learning Environment.
I learned a lot of important information throughout creating this website. Before creating this website, I didn't think about what my classroom rules will be or how I would implement them. I gained a deeper understanding of what it will be like to be a teacher and how I will implement the strategies, rules, rewards, and etc. for my future classroom. I also learned more about the importance of diversity and how it is a significant part of the learning environment. After creating this website, it makes me feel more confident for when I am a teacher in the future. Now I have a great tool that I can use in my teaching career that I find extremely beneficial.

Rationale-
This artifact applies to Standard 4- Learning Environment because morning meetings can help students develop a sense of belonging and connection to their classmates and teacher. When students feel like they are part of a community, they are more likely to feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and ideas in class. Setting expectations: Morning meetings can be used to set expectations for the day ahead. Teachers can remind students of any upcoming assignments, tests, or special events, and encourage them to stay focused and engaged throughout the day.
Morning meetings can be a time for students to practice social-emotional skills like active listening, empathy, and self-awareness. For example, a "wellness Wednesday" meeting about self-love could include a discussion about ways to practice self-care and strategies for managing stress. Encouraging positive behavior: Morning meetings can also be used to reinforce positive behavior and encourage students to be kind, respectful, and responsible. Teachers can highlight examples of students who have exhibited positive behavior, and give students the opportunity to recognize their peers for their efforts.
Overall, morning meetings can be a valuable tool for creating a positive and supportive learning environment in many different classroom environments. By establishing a sense of community, setting expectations, practicing social-emotional skills, and encouraging positive behavior, teachers can help their students start the day off on the right foot.
