BLExIM

About

BLExIM is an informal co-op of business librarians collegially sharing their personal Instructional Materials (IM) for everyone’s benefit! The three Organizers—we like to think of ourselves as masterminds—are all academic business librarians across the U.S. BLExIM is not (yet) affiliated with any professional organization(s).

• Receivers can be anyone practicing or studying business librarianship.

• Sharers can be anyone practicing business librarianship (no vendors, please).

How It Works

This BLExIM website is not a repository or platform that hosts IM, and the Organizers do not curate or police Sharers' content. What we've created is a discovery tool for IM, i.e. the BLExIM Registry, as well as a standard workflow for exchanging IM.

SHARING

• Sharers host their IM in their own Google Drive folder.

• Sharers make their IM discoverable by putting info about their IM in the Registry.

• Sharers get info about Receivers using their IM through a Notice of Use (NoU) form; the NoU is an honor system.

RECEIVING

• Receivers explore the Registry to find IM that they might want to use.

• Receivers help Sharers by completing the Sharer's NoU form before they download IM, so the Sharer knows that their IM is having a positive impact in our community.
