Akbash have been bred for centuries to guard and protect livestock. They originate from the country, Turkey where the first Akbash were imported from in the late 1970s. Akbash are instinctive, loyal, intelligent protectors they remain calm and alert in their guarding duties. We only keep proven working Akbash on our farm and currently have three adults and one puppy that we retained from our October 2023 litter. We only breed our best UKC registered dogs. Our breeding Akbash have been OFA or PenHipp tested, proven to be effective guardians, and meet the UKC breed standard. Our dogs are also part of the Genetic Diversity Project through ADAA and UC Davis.
We are striving to help diversify the Akbash bloodlines available in the United States and are excited about our current matings! We have been members of the Akbash Dog Association of America for several years. Christina currently serves as vice president of the ADAA.
