It is crucial to understand how technology can be incorporated into the design of an online course in order to create an optimal learning environment.
Good technology integration isn't about using the fanciest tool; rather, it's about being aware of the options available and selecting the most appropriate strategy or strategies for the lesson at hand. In this regard, the SAMR model can be used as a powerful framework for comprehending effective and seamless technology integration.
The SAMR model outlines four levels of online learning, roughly arranged according to their complexity and transformative power: substitution, augmentation, modification, and redefinition.
