Methodology

Great emphasis will be given to a deep understanding of the didactic concepts of "Online Learning".

• We will analyse the difference of teaching online and face-to-face.

• You will critically review the method and discuss strengths and weaknesses of this approach.

• You will use strategies how to design an effective online course.

• By studying concrete examples you will see that Online Learning must be adapted to the learners, to the content and the context.

You will define a concrete development project for a online course in your field of teaching.

• As a participant you will adapt the new method to your needs.

• You will apply new techniques in your project and present your results to others.

• You will give and receive critical feedback based on sound criteria.

• You will find, select and asses and even develop learning resources collaboratively.

You will learn the skills to deliver an online course.

• You will create an environment for social learning.

• You will learn how to moderate asynchonous discussions and elicite an active involvment of the learners.

• You will run sessions of Tele-Teaching to address questions, clarify misunderstandings and motivate the learners.

• A facilitator will coach and assist you during the week, provide feedback and suggestions.
