Summer Reading 2019 was a Success!

July 26, 2019

The Bledsoe County Library Summer Reading program,” A Universe of Stories “ended July 17 with a musical performance by Kevin Kidd and Company at Nickel Row Music Hall and a party at Embers where Belinda Ault of Crye-Leike Brown Realty treated everyone to ice cream and sprinkles. Kevin Williamson, aka Kevin Kidd and children put on an outstanding show which will be shown on Valley TV, Channel 18 and YouTube next week. The party was well attended and a good time was had by all. It was a great summer for reading with seventy one children participating in the program. Our number one reader was Adam Cansdale with seventy books and our number two reader was Mordecai Andreasen with forty one books. The number one listeners were Margo and Oscar Boynton with one hundred and thirty-six books, followed by Kylin Burks with ninety books.

Library Director Carolyne Knight commented “we are so grateful to have these wonderful facilities so close to the library, and for friends like Belinda Ault and library board member Kathi Britt who did story hour for the little ones during the summer.”
