Its heart breaking that in 2023 the community Of Baphiring still struggles with access to clean drinking water. Infustructure is not maintained , pensioners push wheelbarrows for long distances in search of a tap with running water... and thats if they are lucky to find one because village often goes 3 to 4 weeks without water ... those that survive are those well off enough to drill bore holes in their yards.

For the majority impoverished community who can't afford a bore hole  they have to buy water from those with bore holes and again thats if they can afford to because a loaf of bread for some families  is mostly a hope to have.

Residence have to fork out their own money to fix communal taps (see image 2).

Thats reality ....
