June 18, 2024 General Meeting 

Our next general meeting will be Tuesday, June 18 beginning at 12:30 PM at Footbridge Park. Lunch will be provided by Elaine & Leaka.  At this meeting, we’ll have committee sign-ups. It's our last meeting before a 2-month summer break. Hope you all can attend.  All women who share our goal of service to others are welcome! Come join us! What we do together matters! 

May 21, 2024 General Meeting 

Our next general meeting will be Tuesday, May 21 beginning at 12:30 PM at Walnut Valley UMC. Please mark your calendars. Food pantry donations will be delivered to St. John's United Methodist Church in Hope. We will also be packing traveler treats for the Truck Stop in Columbia. (Speaker will be announced soon.)

April 16, 2024 General Meeting 

Our next general meeting will be Tuesday, April 16 beginning at 12:30 PM at Walnut Valley UMC. Please mark your calendars. Food pantry donations will be delivered to UMCB (United Methodist Church of Blairstown). It is a very important meeting as we will be voting on the 2024-2025 proposed budget and electing new officers. You will also hear the yearend report of what we've accomplished in 2023.There's much to be proud of! Our speaker will be Melanie Curreri, President of Blue Star Mothers.

March 19, 2024 General Meeting 

Our next general meeting will be Tuesday, Mar. 19 beginning at 12:30 PM at Walnut Valley UMC. Please mark your calendars. Food pantry donations will be delivered to the First Presbyterian Church of Blairstown. Plans for the Yard Sale and upcoming events and activities will be shared. The speaker will be .............well, you'll just have to come and find out! Be sure to wear sneakers! :) :)

December 19, 2023 General Meeting 

Our next meeting will be Tuesday, Dec. 19 beginning at 12:30 PM at Walnut Valley UMC. Please mark your calendars. Lots of holiday activities going on, both social and service oriented. Please read carefully. Hope you can join us.

 

 We're asking for several donations at this meeting - food pantry, cookies, hard candy, gum, t-shirts, feminine products. You are not expected to donate all. Please always give within your comfort level.


As you can see, this meeting will be filled with many opportunities to enjoy the holiday spirit together, both work and play. That's who we are! What we do together matters!

November 21, 2023 General Meeting 

Our next meeting will be Tuesday, Nov. 21 beginning at 12:30 PM at Walnut Valley UMC. Please mark your calendars. Food pantry donations will be delivered to Knowlton United Methodist Church. We thank Joan Centrella, Barbara Warnkin, Sue Bennett and Joyce Newport for refreshments. We will install a new member, Pamela Hans. Our speaker will be Warren County Surrogate, Michael Doherty, who will share info about wills, probate and Power of Attorney. Very important legal issues. Come join us! What we do together matters!  Newcomers are welcome!



October 26, 2023 General Meeting 

Oct. 26, Thursday  - General meeting date. This is a change from our usual meeting date. The church is not available til then. Same time 12:30. Same place, Walnut Valley United Methodist Church. Please mark your calendars. Our food pantry collection will be donated to Evangelical Free Church. Our speaker will be Blairstown Police Chief, Scott Johnson. We thank our refreshment volunteers - Kathy Jackes, Joanne Stiehl, Olive Carbonaro and Rita Gross. A variety of goodies are encouraged. Cookies, cake, buns,etc. along with pretzels, crackers, fruit, etc. for those watching their sugar intake. Simple is good! Coffee/tea are supplied. Questions, contact Leaka Whipple (908-303-4245). 

June 20, 2023 General Meeting 

Our next meeting will be June 20 beginning at 12:30 at Walnut Valley UMC. Please bring your own lunch. Desserts and beverages will be provided. At this meeting, we will: discuss BYLAW changes and install 4 new members - Mary Ann Riley, Joanne Stiehl, Karen Cohen and Debbie Ritter.  Excited to have new members with new ideas and new energy! May 25, 2023 General Meeting Recap

At the May meeting of the Blair Woman's Club of Blairstown, we enjoyed our usual delicious refreshments! One of our members made a beautiful blanket for a veteran. Thanks, Barbara! Kaitlin Eamigh from the Blairstown Enhancement Committee was our speaker. The 2023-2024 budget was passed. Our next meeting, June 20 at 12:30 PM at Walnut Valley UMC will be the last before summer break. All women who share our goal of service to others are welcome! Come join us! Mar. 21, 2023 General Meeting Recap

A busy March meeting for the Blair Woman’s Club of Blairstown! Partnering with Presbyterian Woman at First Presbyterian Church of Blairstown, NJ and Friends of Rachel at North Warren Regional School District, sheets and towels were collected and will be delivered to Veterans Haven North, a facility for homeless veterans. Member, Barbara Parker, created a blanket and hat to contribute. Food pantry donations will help stock the shelves at the First Presbyterian Church of Blairstown Outreach Center Food Pantry. Speaker was Dr. J. Dutt, superintendent of NWRHS. Always, delicious refreshments and lively conversations were present!

Dec. 13, 2022 General Meeting Recap

Local elves (AKA Blair Woman’s Club of Blairstown!) were very busy at their Dec. 13th meeting. Snack bags were packed, and cards written to the residents of Clover Rest Home, Veteran's Haven North DMAVA (VHN), Blairstown Police Dept. and Blairstown municipal workers. Also, collected were feminine products for the women residents of VHN and umbrellas for all housed in the facility for homeless Vets. Food pantry donations will be delivered to St. Jude Church. Gifts for our adopted family from Emmanuel Cancer Foundation were gathered.

We welcomed new member, Wendy Kelley. Refreshments and lots of joyful conversation made for a most festive afternoon. Busy hands! Happy hearts! What we do together matters! Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season!

Nov. 15, 2022 General Meeting Recap

At the November meeting of the Blair Woman’s Club of Blairstown we welcomed two visitors and installed a new member. Welcome, Andrea! Our speaker was author Maryann McFadden, three-time American Booksellers Association “Must Read” author. We also collected items for the food pantry at Knowlton United Methodist Church. 

The December projects were discussed. Snack packages and cards will be sent to Veteran's Haven North and Clover Rest Home as well as to municipal employees. We are also sponsoring a family from the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation.  

Nov. 10, 2022 Silent Auction Recap

SILENT AUCTION held on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022 at Brook Hollow Winery & Event Facility, Columbia, NJ. Over 100 shoppers attended and bid on over 260 items! Twenty one (21) BWC members were on hand to help with all the jobs. Many who were not there last night contributed items for bid. Our heartfelt thank you to all who participated in any capacity and to all who donated.  A very special thanks to Paul Ritter and Brook Hollow Winery! What we do together matters!
