Some local businesses and organizations including the Post Time Pub, Frank's Pizza, and the North Warren Interact Club are having fundraisers to support this family. If you are interested in donating (even just a dollar), we will have a container at the October meeting.
We have asked for a lot, please only donate what you are able! Can't make it to the meeting, but still want to donate? Email blairwomansclubnj@gmail.com or contact Wendy or Jen - feel free to drop it off at the Outreach Center as well!

A busy March meeting for the Blair Woman’s Club of Blairstown! Two new members were inducted; welcome Lucy Latka Radigan and Gerri Fredericks! Food pantry donations helped stock the shelves at the First Presbyterian Church of Blairstown Outreach Center Food Pantry. Our guest speaker was Pete Peterson from H.O.P.E. (Help Our Preservation Effort). Established in 1982, H.O.P.E. is dedicated to preserving the historic architecture and heritage in the village of Hope, New Jersey. We learned about their latest restoration project, which is three doors down from First Hope Bank and learn about Moravian history in Hope. After our winter break, the next general meeting will be Tuesday, Mar. 18 beginning at 2:00 PM at Walnut Valley UMC. Join us! Food pantry donations will be delivered to the Food Pantry at the Blairstown (First Presbyterian Church) Outreach Center. We will need to decide whether to purchase the pinwheels and banner for a garden in April for Prevent Child Abuse Month, and whether to celebrate Earth Day on April 22, 2025, as a club. Another decision is whether to hold a spring yard sale this year. As you know, we did raise less money at the Silent Auction in November, so a yard sale would bolster our treasury balance.
Our March guests will be Pete and Betsy Peterson and Bob May from H.O.P.E (Help Our Preservation Effort), established in 1982, H.O.P.E. is dedicated to preserving the historic architecture and heritage in the village of Hope, New Jersey. Greetings Blair Woman's Club:
Just a quick recap of yesterday's Highlands District Council meeting that met at Brook Hollow Winery...In addition to Barbara McCloskey, NJSFWC President and Karen Karen Jeisi, Highlands District Vice President, 60 ladies attended representing 12 clubs from the Highlands district. A big thank you to all who helped and/or participated in any way including donating items towards the silent auction (which, by the way, after the credit card purchases clear, raised over $600 for the special state project - the NJ Children's Alliance!!), setting up (both the day before and day of), cleaning up, assisting at either the registration, bake sale, federation table, the runners for the auction, provided program reports, refreshments, and anything else that we may have missed! We also greatly appreciate the Washington Woman's Club who graciously provided most of the refreshments - so many breakfast and lunch items - quite a spread! Another big thank you to the Ritter family for their very generous use of the beautiful winery building! Check out the Brook Hollow Winery calendar for current events - this Friday evening is their Friday Night Meal Deal (January 10th) - a $10 Build-Your-Own Taco Bar Buffet - Happy Hour and live tunes! Anyone want to join Wendy & Jen at the winery for tacos, wine, and music tomorrow? Pre-sale registration here
Look for emails over our "winter break" about some of the topics that were covered at yesterday's meeting, including the 2025 State Convention.
What we do together matters! Stay warm!
