The mission of the Youth Combat Program is to provide a safe and fun environment where the youth of the S.C.A. can participate in martial activities, mirroring adult Armored Combat, at a level appropriate to their age. The goal is to introduce and reinforce the ideals of chivalry, honor, courtesy, service, and heraldic pageantry, both on and off the list field. The program stresses good sportsmanship and parental participation. It is designed to allow the youth to learn more about all aspects of the Society and above all, HAVE FUN!

The goal of the Armored 101 class is to provide individuals with the basic background required to begin a successful journey toward a marshal’s warrant. It is not an instruction in all rules of armored combat. This course provides background in managing authorizations, interacting with combatants, and conducting inspections. It does not overlap with Field 201, also required of all marshals.

Thrown Weapons Marshal 101 will teach you how to safely setup and run a Thrown Weapons range. It will cover range setup, weapons inspections, and how to run the range.

Target Archery is a large part of the Kingdom of Atlantia and SCA activities. Of all activities (besides thrown weapons), target archery is the only one where the participants are using real weapons.This class teaches the rules of conducting safe archery at events for adults and youth.

This class teaches you how to run a fighting field (tourney or melee) properly. It also teaches you the proper way to fill out paperwork.
