The Youth Activities point will be open between courts on Saturday, with organized activities between 1 and 3 PM. What might those activities include? Painting targets! (10 cardboard targets available, using washable tempera paint, along with as many tabards as there are paint brushes) A class covering the basics of armored combat, rapier, and archery, especially the safety surrounding each (to the level of participants) Bean bag thrown weapons competition! Once targets are dry, there will be a thrown weapons competition. Bow making competition with twigs and twine. Immediately after everyone has made their best attempt at making a bow, they will shoot the bows (one at a time!) to see whose works best. (Plastic bows will be available for archers with non-functioning bows.) Water Battle - We will have a sponge water battle after the other activities are completed. Arts and sciences pouches, a jump rope, hopscotch, games, and books will also be available, as well as water and a place for parents to sit (we invite you to bring a chair - only a few will be available).
