GETTING STARTED
1. Download Black Screen Camera from the App Store or Google Play.
2. On first launch, grant camera and microphone permissions when prompted.
3. Tap the record button — the screen will go black while recording continues in the background.
4. Tap anywhere on the black screen (or use the volume button) to stop recording.
5. Your recording is saved automatically to your device.
Tip: Recording continues even when your screen locks. Make sure your device has enough storage before starting a long session.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Why does the app need camera and microphone permission?
A: Camera and microphone access are required for the core functionality of the app — recording video and audio. You can manage permissions at any time in your device Settings.
Q: Where are my recordings saved?
A: All recordings are saved locally on your device. They are not uploaded to any server or cloud service.
Q: What happens to my data if I delete the app?
A: When you uninstall Black Screen Camera, all app data is automatically removed from your device. We do not store any of your data on external servers.
Q: Is it legal to use this app?
A: Recording laws vary by country and region. It is your responsibility to understand and comply with the recording laws in your jurisdiction before using this app.
Q: My recording has no audio — how do I fix this?
A: Check that microphone permission is enabled. On iOS: Settings → Black Screen Camera → Microphone. On Android: Settings → Apps → Black Screen Camera → Permissions → Microphone.
Q: Does the app use my location?
A: No. Black Screen Camera does not request or use your location data in any form.
