Although most of the baked goods that we sell at Bittersweet are European imports, baking has always been a core aspect of this family. For ourselves, we all share and show a love through what we make at home. Janie, is a fabulous baker with limetless creations and crazy ideas! She has passed down this love and talent to her girls who continue to bake at home, even for ourselves. Byron just loves to eat the baked goods! 

For all four of us, owning a bakery was always the dream, but we did not know it could be such a wonderful reality! From Byron's love of food and intricate flavors, to Janie's willpower and talent, Violet's passion for baking new crazy things and selling baked goods at small shows, and for Scarlet to create new gluten-free recipes for her allergy that others have and the need to share that with others. 

Luckily for us and for you, the artistic touch of our bakery does not stop here. Janie has been a phenomenal artist, she began her art career as soon as she could hold a pencil in her hands! If you look around our beautiful bakery, you may see some small pieces of artwork hanging on our walls. Chances are... they are for sale!
