Rustic carpentry update - 16 August 2019

We continue to work as one with the natural world, minimising waste by reclaiming, repairing and then creating useful items from wood. We aim to encourage local flora and fauna whilst enhancing our local gardens and community areas.

Our members are now aligning their creative juices in advance of the natural seasons to ensure a good stock of our products – summer is our bug hotel season, autumn for bird feeders/tables, winter for nest boxes and spring for garden planters.

The current range of available products includes:

Our best seller, the premium and unique ‘saltire’ styled bug hotel which has four independent suites – allowing for a choice of accommodation for a whole host of insects -bees, ladybirds, spiders etc.. Each suite is individually furnished with locally sourced, sustainable, natural materials and these hotels are suitable for any outside space.

A budget hanging bird feeder (now with the added value of a fat ball and free sample of suet bird food).

Various nest boxes, some featuring an open front (beloved by Robins) others the traditional Tit box.

Our development boffin hopes to soon unveil the new ‘Bitterne Duo’ box - easily convertible for either Robin or Tit living. In addition a handy and decorative 'window ledge herb carrier' is in the pipeline – watch this space!

Don't forget we continue to create sturdy garden planters to customer specifications.
