SYMPOSIUM ON TEENAGE PREGNANCY

Kaunting Tiis, Para Iwas Buntis

Teenage pregnancy has been a prevalent problem in the country nowadays, The Philippines is one of the countries with the highest rates of teenage pregnancy in the world. And since it is a major problem especially in the field of education, Bulihan Integrated Senior High School, conducted an activity called, Konting Tiis, Para Iwas Buntis. This activity aims to embody the idea of educating the youth of how they can understand their bodies more, how reproduction happens and how can they normalize talking and creating awareness out of it. Proper education and awareness exemplifies on of DepEd’s core values which is Makatao at Makabansa. Identifying some ways to prevent unwanted pregnancies can lead in minimizing population growth and making each of the Filipino sustainable and helpful to the betterment of the country.
