It's Not About You
Jesus is the true and better Moses who stands in the gap between people and God.

IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU is a series of lessons remembering that the entire Bible is all about Jesus.
Today we looked at the story of Moses mediating for the people during the time in the wilderness. (Exodus 32) A mediator is a “man in the middle”. Moses stood between the people and God. Moses was a good mediator for the people – but he was also a sinner like they were. Moses could ask God to forgive the people’s sin but he couldn’t take the sins away from the people.
Jesus is the true and better Moses who stands in the gap between the people and God and mediates a new covenant. Jesus is a perfect and sinless mediator. Jesus didn’t just ask God to forgive us – He went to the cross and died in our place .
ITS NOT ABOUT ME: It’s about Jesus – the perfect, sinless mediator that took our punishment and died for us.
