With experience in application of genetic markers and mathematical modeling to evaluate environmental impacts, projects in nature conservation, biomonitoring, bioinvasions, parasitology and emerging diseases.

His general interest is to better understand the role of coevolutionary processes in diversification of organisms. His work approaches the effect of reproductiove strategy and antagonistic interactions in spatially explicit models in diversification and speciation.
