This is an effective charity that can allow you to meet your moral obligations by allowing a wide variety of ways to help those in need.
A person should determine what to give based off their income and their dependence status. Everyone should give amount that is reasonable enough to help those to in need but should also ensure that those giving to the ones in need to do not become the one in need. The purpose is to decrease the people in need but not to add to them.
We have an obligation to provide healthcare to those who cannot afford it. It alleviates the financial burden that families already face during long term medical treatment of a child. Ronald McDonald House provides support and resources to keep families together, access to healthcare where children need it most, educational needs, and grants to support a family during times of hardship.
Volunteers can cook, host, listen, and nurture families. You can also donate financially to your local chapter. According to the foundation’s impact statement, donating 87 cents a day to the local chapter can significantly impact the children that the Ronald McDonald House aims to support.

-Financially, 9 out of every $10 that money they spend goes directly to children and families in need.
- The donations to these families cover a broad spectrum of needs and is specific to different cultures--- you can donate anything from a goat to sports equipment and musical instruments
To understand how much an individual could give to those in need, they need to scrutinize what they spend their money luxuriously on and give a percentage of that “extra” money and donate. If everyone did this, the percentages add up. 10% to 15% of their extraneous spending (such as eating out money and new shoe money) could be used for those in need.
Feeding the Gulf Coast has many outreaches to serve the Gulf Coast. Some of the programs they provide to the coast is an after school program, a food distribution center, and a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program SNAP. These programs provide a safe and educational environment for children after school, food and nutrition to those less fortunate, and aiding people apply for government assistance to buy groceries.
I believe that it is important to take care of the people around you before trying to solve problems that aren’t immediately around you. Since Feeding the Gulf Coast is local, I believe this fits this agenda. I also think that it is important that this charity gives out food. There are many charities that give out clothes and other supplies, but I believe that food is the most important thing that people should have access to.
Charity is a concern for justice, peace, and genuine respect for people. Charity should not be designated as a choice but recognized as a moral duty of all people; it is a constituent of justice rather than an optional supplement or a mere alternative. With each local citizen sacrificing a minimal reserve of personal funds to their own community, the kindness of each supporter can see or, perhaps, be indirectly impacted by its influence. After considering the variety of incomes of different households, residents accumulating less than $40,000 annually will be required to donate 0.25-0.50% of their yearly income, and residents accumulating $40,000 or more annually will be required to donate 0.50-0.75% of their yearly income. Your donations to your local community will benefit the lives of your peers and improve your own society.
“Good360 helps companies resolve the business challenge of responsibly distributing excess goods for maximum impact and in doing so, we help our nonprofit partners deliver on their own important missions. Individuals facing challenging life circumstances get the goods they need, generating hope, and products are given a new life, reducing waste and helping build resilient communities for the future.” - from good360.org
Website: www.good360.org
Giving to Good360 can help uphold your moral obligation by preventing bad things because by donating you are helping people in need and also reducing waste by giving away excess materials.
Given that we should give as much as possible without sacrificing something of more value, donating to Good360 would satisfy moral obligations. You should contribute items that you are not going to use or not need on a monthly basis. Consumers and companies often consume or produce more than necessary, and these products often go to waste. Therefore, these resources should be distributed to those in need instead of wasting them. You may also donate money if you would prefer to do so.
