Code of conduct and Terms & Conditions


BioantTalks aims to increase collaboration and engagement among scholars and students in a free and safe digital environment through YouTube. Participants are expected to act with integrity, courtesy, and respect and maintain the highest level of professional ethics at all BioantTalks conferences and other events. BioantTalks conferences and events are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience on YouTube for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, political affiliation, body size, race, age, national or ethnic origin, marital status, parental status, veteran status or religion. Be kind to everyone. Do not insult, threaten, harass or defame participants or organizers. Discrimination in any form is not accepted on abstracts, video presentations or comments featured on the BioantTalks YouTube channel. 


BioantTalks, as a YouTube platform without institutional support, does not have the judicial power, expertise, and means/infrastructure to investigate allegations and adjudicate claims of ethical wrongdoing and discrimination occurring outside BioantTalks conferences and events. BioantTalks and organizers only have the means to mediate abstracts, videos, and comments submitted to BioantTalks YouTube channel.


Videos submitted to BioantTalks will also have to follow YouTube Policies. Using copyright material without authorization is not allowed on YouTube. Please notify BioantTalks if you need to add the copyright information/authorization and other mentions regarding images, music and other materials to be published alongside your video. YouTube may remove participants’ video(s) if their policies are not followed. A video removed by YouTube is outside BioantTalks control. If a video is removed by YouTube, BioantTalks will not publish the video again on the channel.

 


Submitted videos to BioantTalks will be available on the YouTube channel BioantTalks after the conference and other events. Participants violating this Code of Conduct and Terms & Conditions may have their abstract(s), video(s), and comment(s) not published or removed at the discretion of the conference organizers and BioantTalks. If an abstract, video, and/or comment are removed by BioantTalks or YouTube, the removal is final. If unclear if the content posted portraits unethical behavior or misconduct, counseling of third parties will be sought by BioantTalks as needed.

Participants will not receive any monetary compensation from BioantTalks and organizers now or in the future of participating.

The views expressed by any conference and event participants are not necessarily those of BioantTalks.

 


BioantTalks reserves the right to:

a) Reject a plagiarized or self-plagiarized abstract and/or video

b) Reject an abstract submitted without disclosing the reason(s)

c) Not publish or remove any abstract, video, and comments without informing participants

d) Suspend future participation of scholars, researchers, students, and others who broke off this Code of Conduct and Terms & Conditions

e) Change, amend, add, or remove any of the above Code of Conduct and Terms & Conditions without prior notice

f) If one or more of the conditions outlined in these Terms & Conditions should become invalid, the remaining conditions will continue to be valid and apply

 


This Code of Conduct and Terms & Conditions apply to all conference and event participants. Participants have to acknowledge and agree with the code of conduct and terms & conditions beforehand. 

The First Author Must:

Agree to the Code of Conduct and Terms & Conditions on behalf of all parties involved with the abstract and communicate this Code of Conduct and Terms & Conditions to all involved parties. Verify that all co-authors are aware of the contents of the abstract and support its data. Agree to present the abstract if it is selected for presentation at BioantTalks conferences or events.
