Scholarships

Since 2000, the Binghamton Umpires' Association has presented scholarships to graduating baseball and softball players, totaling more than $35,500.  This year the BUA will again be awarding two scholarships, one baseball, and one softball for $500 each. These will be awarded to the chosen seniors from the 21 schools that the BUA services.

The 2024 baseball scholarship was dedicated to the memory of Toby Walker, and the 2024 softball scholarship was dedicated to long time umpire Dick James.
