Here is some of my work:
This is a link to a paper I wrote in one of my journalism courses regarding the past and future of the NFL. I included this paper because I feel strongly about the finished product. I wrote a 10 page paper using sources and quotes to best describe why the NFL will be fine moving forward even with the challenges the NFL faces like concussions, injuries as a whole and racial discrimination when it comes to front office jobs. I feel that this specific topic is a huge discussion point in the sports world today.--https://docs.google.com/document/d/16YHCpRfeMuFU2j_A2vEMXMwOSrpIHFYpKihhHV--cGQ/edit
This is a link to a news article I wrote when covering the 2020 New York State Senate Race for District 41. I conducted interviews with the incumbent Sue Serino and challenger Karen Smythe. I included this article because this was one of the first real articles I wrote. I interviewed two big public figures and was able to write an election story which was a big topic at that moment. ---https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DpE9AaWfzCrAiH7ae5FQ98t2qiUlYzvBfSIeQjxyOTY/edit

This is a link to a portfolio I created for my baseball and statistics course. I included this work because this shows my skill set in using Microsoft Excel. This was a group project, however I was the one who did 95% of the work. My group members contributed with some of the excel work. I used Microsoft Excel to demonstrate the argument of why Jorge Posada belongs in the Baseball Hall of Fame since Gary Carter is in. I created box and whisker plots, time series graphs, multiple tables, pie charts, linear regression charts, bar graphs, and written explanations to demonstrate our opinion and argument. --https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pBz_hXnWAWt0n1kn-LQv7ZNqYQQLJvm5PxPQFQlW_-E/edit

This is a link to an investigative news article I wrote about the charity foundation located in Poughkeepsie, New York, Sparrows Nest. Here is a link to a column I wrote regarding whether college athletes should be paid. For this column I interviewed Ellen Staurowsky, a former college athletic director and coach whose research areas include College Athletes Rights, Business of College Sport, Pay Equity and Race Issues in Sport. She has worked with the National College Players Association and was an expert witness on O’Bannon V. NCAA. I included this article because this is a topic that has been relevant ever since I started following sports. Staurowsky was able to provide great insight into the dilemma at the time.----https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Jkvbq19ovLJiwUd9WM4gdQCuOgwlGEK10auYnI--X0I/edit
