"AI For Good via Accessible, Scalable, and Reliable Intelligence"
Our research is supported by major national programs of the Korean government. These programs address strategic challenges in generative AI, AI sovereignty, human-centered intelligence, and advanced AI research training.
Deep Total Recall is a five-year national research project under Korea’s Human-Centered AI Core Technology Development Program, with total funding of KRW 5 billion.
Led by Prof. Dong-Wan Choi, the project investigates how neural networks can continually learn and recall previously acquired knowledge in a manner inspired by human memory. It represents the central long-term research vision of Big Data Lab.

This project is part of Korea’s national Limit-Breaking Lightweight and Low-Power AI R&D Program, launched to overcome the computational and energy limitations of large-scale AI. Our consortium was selected as one of only two consortia funded under the program.
The project has a total budget of approximately KRW 9.6 billion, including KRW 7.5 billion in government R&D support. Big Data Lab develops task- and context-aware token reduction and efficient inference technologies for document collaboration AI.
