This Privacy Policy explains how the developer of VerseNest ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our app or contact our related support service. You can contact us at soleilsunshine77@gmail.com.

1. Information Collection and Use

No separate VerseNest account is required. Favorites, reading history, topic choices, devotional progress, and widget and reminder settings are stored on your device. The app shares the local data needed by its widgets. We do not provide cloud synchronization of your devotional library; Apple device backups are controlled by your system settings.

If you contact support, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you send. We use them to respond and resolve your request. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or private religious or health information.

We use technical information to understand general app usage, fix problems, and protect the service. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Where consent is required by law, processing is subject to that consent; this policy is not itself a request for consent.

2. Third-Party Services and Log Data

VerseNest uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. These services may process installation or app-instance identifiers, device and operating-system details, app versions, usage events, timestamps, and crash reports. Analytics may derive approximate location from network information. This information is not necessarily anonymous.

Our custom events do not include parameters containing your selected topics, saved passages, reading history, or prayer text, and we do not intentionally add these details to crash reports. The SDKs can also collect automatic technical data. VerseNest does not display ads or use IDFA for advertising.

We require third-party providers handling user data for VerseNest to provide protection at least equivalent to that described in this Privacy Policy and required by applicable law and Apple's App Review Guidelines.

Google and our other providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States, subject to applicable transfer requirements. We may also disclose information where legally required or necessary to protect legal rights and security.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Apple handles subscriptions and one-time purchases. VerseNest uses purchase and entitlement information to unlock paid features and restore eligible purchases. We do not receive your full payment-card details or Apple Account password. Apple maintains its own purchase records.

4. Content Disclaimer

Except for the Spanish translation identified below, the Bible texts and verses provided in VerseNest are sourced from public-domain translations. VerseNest claims no copyright ownership or exclusive rights over these Bible texts and serves as a digital tool for reading and displaying them.

Spanish passages identified as Biblica® Open Nueva Biblia Viva™ are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0) and are not in the public domain. Full copyright credits and license information appear in Section 3 of our Terms of Service.

5. Retention and Your Choices

We retain information only as reasonably needed for the purposes above, considering unresolved requests, troubleshooting needs, and legal obligations. Provider-held data follows the applicable service settings and retention rules. We delete or de-identify information we control when it is no longer needed.

You can remove favorites and reminders in the app, manage notification permissions in device settings, and delete the app to remove local storage. Backups and previously shared images may remain. Uninstalling does not cancel subscriptions or erase Apple's purchase records.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy authority. Email us with your request. We may need proportionate information to verify it and identify the relevant records, and will respond within applicable legal deadlines. Without an account, your email alone may not identify device-based analytics records.

6. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure. Please protect your device and be mindful of information included in screenshots or support messages.

7. Children's Privacy

VerseNest is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information without parental authorization where required. If you believe a child has provided information improperly, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

8. Changes and Contact

We may update this policy and its revision date. We will provide additional notice and obtain consent for material changes where required by law.
