The Colors
of the
Bhutan Flag
Although there are different version of the bhutanese flag, this most updated version of the flag has four colors - yellow, orange, white, and black for the outline of the dragon in the middle of the flag.
The four colors of the Bhutanese all represent different things (shown below)
Yellow
Representing the power of the king, as head of the secular government
Orange
Associated with the Bka’-brgyud-pa & Rnying-ma-pa Buddhist sects and with the religious commitment of the nation
White
Representing purity
Black
