CODE OF CONDUCT EXPECTED...

Users are expected to behave in a civil manner that does not interfere with other people using the facility. You have the freedom to express but not at the expense of the next person's freedom.

  • Users are encouraged to use the facility for individual and group work.

  • Please switch to hushed mode while discussions during group research work,

  • Users are expected to take care of the books and materials they use and be cautious against mutilating them.

  • Benches and Desks are for you to sit comfortably and work, not for expressing ideas or venting emotions. We would love to provide papers to document your emotions, if you feel the urge to go creative.

  • Food and drinks are not permitted in the Library . Littering during project work shall be self-cleaned up before you leave the premises.

  • Users are expected to follow directions or instructions of the library staff.

  • Users borrowing materials (books, laptops, or media) are responsible for returning them on time and in the same condition as and when borrowed.

  • Users may not remove materials designated for "Library Use Only" from the facility.

  • Users are responsible for paying any fines incurred for overdue, lost, or damaged materials charged to their library accounts.

  • Users are expected to follow the policy on Appropriate Use of Information Technology.

  • Users are expected to actively participate in programes conducted by the library and develop life skills and knowledge management skills.

  • Student users who violate these guidelines may lose their library privileges, have an academic HOLD placed on future registration, and be referred to Student Conduct.
