Zero is Everything

Place Value, Number Sets, Decimals: Add and Subtract
Zero is my hero.
I’d pick it every time.
It’s the very first number
On my number line.
Gives us number families,
In patterns and place,
Just say the name
And fill the space.
Undefined when denom
Zero when multiplied.
Ugly problems easy
Don’t have to try.
‘Cause I
Line up the decimal points
To add or subtract!
Else, ignore ‘em ‘til the end
Cancel, scoot ‘til exact. Ahhh!
