We would like to pay our respects and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet - The Wangal People of the Eora Nation.
We acknowledge their ongoing connection to land, sea and community and also pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging. We extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people here today.
We ask everyone to keep the traditions – by learning, understanding and telling the story of the land that we live, learn and walk on. For we are all part of the story of this land.

“Wishlist”/Monetary funding to support programs/events/student-led initiatives
Action : Mia will discuss with Executive Committee on whether any school faculties require monetary funding from BGHS P&C to support their programs/events/student-led initiatives.
Motions to be voted on
Murals - Mia Kumar
Motion : That BGHS P&C allocate $10,000 to BGHS CAPA Department towards the cost of purchase of materials (ceramic tiles etc) for the 3rd and 4th panels of the mural artwork.
Drama - Mia Kumar
Motion : That BGHS P&C allocate $3,000 towards costs of hiring 2 ex-BGHS students to work on lighting for an upcoming drama performance set up for the school and the wider school community.
Air Conditioner - Mia Kumar
Motion : That BGHS P&C allocate up to $12,000 towards costs of purchase and installation of air conditioner in school.
Homework Centre - Mia Kumar
Motion : That BGHS P&C allocate $200 per week for seventeen (17) weeks towards payment of Maths and Science tutor(s) for the Homework Centre until the end of academic year 2025 ie. total $3,400.00.
