I’m a journalist and media literacy educator with a passion for public education. I have two children at BGHS and I’m grateful they get to attend such a wonderful school.
I'm a high school English teacher who loves reading and hopefully instilled that love in my three children. I also believe a good education is the silver bullet that can solve the world's problems.
I work in the investments sector within the charity space. I am very thankful for the quality of education we get here in Australia, and have two daughters (one in Y10 at Burwood Girls and the other keen to join her older sister in the near future). I love to use my financial skills to assist with the P&C deliver on positive outcomes for our students.
I work in program evaluation for the NSW Government in the area of climate change, sustainability and energy. I have two daughters at the school. I went to public schools and fully support public schools being equitably resourced so all children have access to a great education and educational experience.
I have a legal background and currently work with a NFP NGO championing human rights. I'm a proud parent of two busy teenagers and one very opinionated cat at home. I’m passionate about contributing to the P&C because I believe every child deserves access to high-quality, equitable public education. I'm here to pitch in, be part of the conversation, and support our amazing school community.
I work in the construction and infrastructure sector, specialising in sport facilities. I believe education is a powerful tool for freedom and empowerment—a value I am passionate about passing on to my two daughters. I'm grateful for the outstanding opportunities BGHS has provided them, I am committed to supporting their school experience through my involvement with the P&C.
As an accountant in portfolio management, my purpose is to support minorities in achieving their goals, with a strong focus on promoting women's presence and embracing diversity and inclusion within the community. I have two children, one at BGHS, and I'm excited to be part of this wonderful school community and eager to contribute.
I have hope in the youth and to this end have been involved in projects that create opportunities for young people to engage with each other and discover new interests and develop different skills. Alas, after 17 years of children community activities from playgroup through to primary, then secondary school P&Cs, community sports clubs and some, I am in my final months at BGHS - handing over as I move onto (non-child) related community organisations.
