Details about our school

We are a general lower and upper secondary grammar school located in Hódmezővásárhely, Hungary, welcoming approximately 500 students aged 10–19. In addition to our grammar school programmes, our institution also includes a boarding school, providing a supportive environment for students from different parts of the country.

Our students follow a broad academic curriculum, including languages, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, history, literature, geography, informatics, arts and physical education. We offer advanced-level classes in several subjects and place a strong emphasis on preparing students for higher education.

Over the last years, our school aims to become increasingly involved in international cooperation. Through Erasmus+ projects, teacher training courses, job shadowing activities and student mobility programmes, we are building valuable partnerships across Europe and are always happy to welcome new colleagues and students to our school.

Our city: Hódmezővásárhely

Hódmezővásárhely is a welcoming city in the south of Hungary, offering a peaceful atmosphere while providing everything visitors need for a comfortable stay. With its rich cultural heritage, green parks and friendly community, it is an ideal place to experience everyday Hungarian life.

Hódmezővásárhely has only approximately 45,000 inhabitants though covering nearly 488 km², it has one of the largest administrative areas among Hungarian cities, giving it a unique character where urban life and the surrounding countryside exist side by side.

Our city is known for its traditions in ceramics, art and culture, while also offering modern cafés, restaurants and recreational facilities. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to explore the city's museums, enjoy local cuisine and discover the unique character of the region.

Hódmezővásárhely is also conveniently located close to Szeged, one of Hungary's most vibrant university cities, making it easy to combine professional activities with cultural experiences and sightseeing.
