Every mobility programme is tailored to the interests and learning objectives of our partner schools. The schedule below illustrates a typical five-day Erasmus+ group mobility hosted by our school, combining educational activities, cultural experiences, collaborative learning and opportunities to build lasting international friendships. All activities are carried out together with our Hungarian students. Rather than organising separate programmes for visiting participants, we create shared learning experiences where local and international students work, learn, explore and socialise side by side. This approach encourages genuine cultural exchange, meaningful friendships and lasting international connections.

Example 5-Day Erasmus+ Group Mobility Programme

Monday – Welcome to Hódmezővásárhely: Culture, Traditions and Science

The mobility begins with a warm welcome during our school's traditional Monday morning devotion held in the historic Reformed Old Church. Students are introduced to the history of the church, climb the church tower to enjoy a panoramic view of Hódmezővásárhely, listen to a live organ performance and even have the opportunity to try playing the organ themselves.

Later, participants visit a local pottery workshop, where they learn about one of the city's most famous traditions and create their own ceramic pieces under the guidance of professional potters.

In the afternoon, students travel to Szeged to visit the internationally renowned ELI-ALPS Laser Research Institute, where they discover cutting-edge laser technologies and learn about the role of scientific research in solving future challenges.

Tuesday – Discovering Our School and Learning Together

The day starts with an official welcome from the Headteacher, followed by an interactive tour of our school. Through fun team activities, international students become familiar with the school environment and get to know their Hungarian peers.

Participants attend several lessons alongside Hungarian students to experience everyday school life and take part in a short introductory Hungarian language session, learning useful everyday expressions.

During the afternoon, mixed international teams complete collaborative digital learning activities before exploring Hódmezővásárhely through an interactive smartphone-based scavenger hunt. By solving location-based challenges together, students discover the city's history, culture and landmarks while strengthening teamwork and communication skills.

Wednesday – Educational Excursion to Budapest

Students spend the day exploring Hungary's capital city and its rich historical and cultural heritage.

The programme includes visits to some of Budapest's most iconic landmarks, including the Hungarian Parliament, Fisherman's Bastion, Matthias Church, the Chain Bridge, Heroes' Square and Vajdahunyad Castle. Throughout the day, students learn about Hungary's history, architecture and national identity while working together in international groups.

Thursday – Nature and Culture in Szeged

The morning begins with a visit to the Szeged Zoo, where students discover wildlife from around the world alongside animal species native to Hungary. The visit encourages discussions about biodiversity, environmental protection and conservation.

In the afternoon, participants explore the city centre of Szeged, visiting its most important cultural and historical landmarks. The programme includes a guided visit to the magnificent Votive Church (Dóm), followed by a climb to the church tower, offering spectacular views of the city.

Friday – Local Traditions and Farewell Celebration

The final day starts with a visit to the local farmers' market, where students discover regional products, meet local producers and gain insight into everyday Hungarian traditions and gastronomy.

After returning to school, participants attend several lessons and take part in an interactive physics laboratory demonstration, where they observe exciting experiments and explore hands-on scientific activities.

The mobility concludes with a closing ceremony, during which students receive their certificates of participation. The farewell celebration features a live performance by a local youth folk music ensemble, followed by an introduction to traditional Hungarian folk dances, giving everyone the opportunity to celebrate the week together and experience an important part of Hungarian cultural heritage.
