Every night I see a light fluttering about my room.
It freaks me out until I realize it's just my firefly, June.
I really hate bugs and I'm still kind of scared, so I pretend she's more of a fairy
Flying around, sprinkling green dust and giving me dreams of sweet dairy.
(Mostly cheese.)
She flitters and flutters around my room until she finds a spot
To rest her wings and glow her green light
Until I fall asleep.
I await tomorrow when I see June
What dreams will she sprinkle tonight?
I'll curiously wonder while laying in bed
And she flutters about in the night.
