We enjoyed a beautiful sunny morning on the lovely section of the Highline Canal, a beautiful greenway that connects people to nature and brings various communities together from the foothils to the plains. Along the wide gravel trail we saw towering old trees, lush shrubbery, beautiful vistas, very pretty houses, and tried to spot wildlife.
Where:
Option 1 - Highline Canal Trail - Some of us biked from Bethany Lutheran Church south on S Dahlia St to the Highline Canal connection at Dahlia Hollow Park to deKoevend Park, 6301 S. University Boulevard and back.
Option 2 - Highline Canal Trail - The rest of us carpooled to Dahlia Hollow Park where we walked south on the Highline Canal and turned around in time to return to Bethany Lutheran Church for a picnic lunch.
Option 3 - Some joined us for the picnic and fellowship in the Church grounds.
Trip Report
Feeling very blessed to have had such an incredibly beautiful day for our Bike/Walk and Picnic! We couldn’t have asked for better weather. So much fun getting to know so many of you. Such a wonderful time! Some of the group biking even ran into some donkeys who were practicing for burro races. Here are the photos we took. Enjoy!
