Scikit-learn sprint

OUR GOAL

To increase the participation of women and gender minorities in the open source community.

PURPOSE

The participation rates by women are quite low for:

• open source: 11%
• python: 2%
• scikit-learn: <1%

The sprints are being organized to:

• Involve more women and gender minorities in scikit-learn and open source
• Contribute to scikit-learn library
• Build momentum for continued contribution
• Widen the pool of open-source contributors
