This sampler was made by one of our member's ancestors, completed October 26, 1826 and has been passed down through generations in her family and is now in her living room. It was worked on a coarsely woven linen, and some of the letters have faded. In the picture you can see the border of thistles, and some of the rows of letters, each letter showing a different kind of stitch.
