SCHOLARLY ACTIVITIES
Chair of the SALISES Disability Studies Research Cluster: 25/11/2019 – Present.
From 06/2021 to 08/2023, the main task of the Cluster was to operationalise a Memorandum of Understanding between the University of the West Indies and the Equal Opportunity Commission of Trinidad and Tobago. Currently, we are undertaking research on wellbeing of amputees and their relatives post-amputation.

PUBLIC OUTREACH Activities
Workshop with the Trinidad and Tobago Chapter of Disabled People's International on healthcare barriers among persons with disabilities: 12/02/2022.
Disability Public Awareness Project: Ongoing.
From 05/12/2022 - 04/01/2023, the SALISES Disability Studies Research Cluster facilitated a public awareness project highlighting the contributions of 30 Trinbagonians with disabilities and the contributions they are making to Trinidad and Tobago society. In 2024, the Cluster partnered with TTT, a local television broadcaster, to promote disability awareness by disseminating the videos from the project as public service announcements. Link to here for more information. The UWI TV also added the videos to their programme schedule as seen here.
