FAQ
How much do lessons cost?
One-on-one lessons – $40 per half hour / $50 per 45mins / $60 per hour.
Duo (or more) lessons – $50 per half hour for duos / $90 per hour. Please get in touch for larger groups.
Lessons are purchased in blocks, dividing the year in accordance with school terms. Students who start mid-way through a term will only be invoiced from their start date to the end of term. Lessons are weekly. Additional holiday lessons may be possible, so ask Ben if you're interested!
Can I do a trial lesson?
Ben is occasionally able to offer trial lessons to prospective students, but students who commit to a term-based plan will be prioritised in the event of scheduling conflicts.
What if I don't know any music?
Ben is very experienced in teaching drums to absolute beginners, so prior musical knowledge is not necessary. Whether you want to become a skilled drummer, learn a few of your favourite songs, or just have fun, Ben is here to help!
Do I need a drumkit for lessons?
No, students do not need a drumkit for lessons. In-person lessons are held in Ben's drum studio, where students will be playing on one of his kits!
For online lessons, having a drumkit would be very useful, but Ben has plenty of easy ways to work on drumming skills that the student could eventually apply to the kit.
Of course, having access to a drumkit outside of lessons would be fantastic for the student to practice and improve, but it is not necessary for lessons with Ben. Feel free to ask Ben any questions regarding drumkit decisions.
