My name is Sara Benko.

M.S.E.d Instructional designer, Sustainability Supporter, Cultural Advocate. 

As a member of the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe, I am focused on sustainable living, and cultural advocacy. I have worked with independent non-profit organizations to create identity in an online world. My goal and mission in life is to be a voice for my family and ancestors in a digital era. Fighting social injustices and helping others find their voice and identity in a technological world is an important task and daunting undertaking but I have had great success in helping myself and others hone in on their identity and spread awareness for issues close to my heart. 

I am experienced with emerging technologies and instruction. I am a detail-oriented expert in cultural studies and am passionate about cultivating educational atmospheres for students. 

As an Instructional Designer,  I work with educators and subject matter experts to determine their main objectives. I  develop and structure educational content in a way that best delivers the information to students to most adequately meet the predetermined objectives. I am familiar and comfortable with multi-media in various forms and can utilize these media to most efficiently deliver educational content. My communication skills allow me to transmit knowledge in a way that is easily understood by diverse learners. I possess expert knowledge of learning theory and use this information to guide my clients in their missions.  Clients have given me much praise for the innovative ways in which I take their subject matter and transmit it into powerful presentations that truly reach their audiences.
