This course allows students to understand and apply further basic and advanced principles from Digital communications discipline, which were not treated in the Digital Communications I course. Namely Optimal receiver in AWGN channel, digital modulations, Convolutional Codes, Turbocodes, PN sequences and CDMA techniques. This subject is a basis for study of the following subjects: IPv6, IoT, Architecture of wireless 2G and 3G networks, Wireless Communications, Architecture of wireless 4G and 5G+ networks and Design of telecommunications networks. However the acquired knowledge could be utilized in broad application area of communications systems and networks.
