Countermeasures against Reaction attacks on QC-xDPC McEliece cryptosystem
This topic deals with designing an implementing attacks on selected cryptosystems, with focus primarily on, but not limited to, the QC-xDPC McEliece cryptosystem. Furthermore, designing counter-attacks will be the integral part of this topic.
Keywords: Post-Quantum Cryptography, QC-LDPC McEliece cryptosystem, Reaction attacks, Soft- decision decoding
Coding for DNA
This topic deals with implementing techniques o the information theory for the analysis of DNA sequences.
Keywords: Genetic code, Entropy, Bioinformatics
Research of codes for data recovery
This topic deals with the application of advanced techniques for error and erasure detection and correction in the context of distributed storage systems. It will expand on the recently published results with focus of developing a practical framework and experimental assessment of potential data-center deployment.
Keywords: Regenerating codes, Distributed storage, ECC - Error Control Coding, Storage Area Network

Implementing an SDR-base station for IoT network
Thesis will deal with using an SDR platform USRP, together with platform GNURadio or Matlab/Simulink for implementing a base station for a LR wireless network with focus on one of the IoT protocols: IEEE 802.15.4, LoRa, eMTC, SigFox or NB-IoT. Work on the thesis involves programming in Matlab, Python or C++.
Keywords: LR wireless network, Software Defined Radio, USRP, GNU Radio
Advanced IPv6 mechanisms in virtualized network context
Thesis will deal with current trends in networking, with focus on network virtualization and simulation. Configuration of virtualized networks and analysis of their operational parameters will constitute the bulk of activities.
Keywords: Network Function Virtualization, network simulation, Software-Defined Network
Currently open topics - bachelor theses starting September 2022
Supervisor: Ing. Tomas Palenik, Ph.D.
Advanced IPv6 mechanisms
Thesis will focus on configuring some of the more advanced mechanisms of the IPv6 protocol, preferrably, but not limited to, using the GNS3 simulator/emulator together with virtualization platform Virtual Box or VMWare.
Keywords: configuring IPv6, GNS3, network virtualization, mixed virtual/real topology
Virtualization of networks in data center context
Thesis will focus on configuring virtualized network topologies similar to and using techniques of data-center networks. Measurements of important parameters of the virtualized topologies will be part of the project.
Keywords: Network Function Virtualization, Data center Network, Python programming
