Research Associate & PhD Student, University of York

ABOUT

Hello! I'm currently a PhD student at the University of York in the Department of Language and Linguistic Science. My research interests are across forensic speech science,  discourse-pragmatic variation and sociophonetics.

My WRoCAH funded PhD project focuses on the phonetic and interactional variation of discourse-pragmatic variables (e.g. like, yeah, just) with a view to aid forensic voice comparison. My supervisors are Paul Foulkes, Vincent Hughes and Traci Walker.

If I'm not linguist-ing I'll probably be found listening to a record and eating marmalade sandwiches like a budget Yorkshire Paddington.
