ABOUT
Hello! I'm a Lecturer in Linguistics at the University of York in the Department of Language and Linguistic Science. My research interests are across forensic speech science, discourse-pragmatic variation and language variation and change.
My UKRI AHRC funded PhD project focused on the phonetic variation of discourse-pragmatic variables (e.g. like, yeah, just) with a view to aid forensic voice comparison. My supervisors were Paul Foulkes and Vincent Hughes.
If I'm not linguist-ing I'll probably be found listening to a record and eating marmalade sandwiches like a budget Yorkshire Paddington.
