Hello! I'm a Lecturer in Phonetics and Forensic Speech Science at the University of York in the Department of Language and Linguistic Science. My research interests are across FSS,  discourse-pragmatic variation and sociophonetics.

My UKRI AHRC funded PhD project focused on the phonetic variation of discourse-pragmatic variables (e.g. like, yeah, just) with a view to aid forensic voice comparison. My supervisors were Paul Foulkes, Vincent Hughes and Traci Walker.

If I'm not linguist-ing I'll probably be found listening to a record and eating marmalade sandwiches like a budget Yorkshire Paddington.
