Binocular icons: two archaeological studies in 2012 & 2015 have identified visible, above ground features. Some of these are seasonal, e.g. parch marks seen only in summer. A third study in 1999, was a watching brief for an irrigation pond that cut across the railway line route on Belton Park Golf Course. That excavation seemed unaware of the previous military camp.
