Available Volunteer Opportunities 

*Mondays (1:00 pm - 3:00 pm) - every week, every other week or as needed 

(WE ARE NOW AT VOLUNTEER CAPACITY ON MONDAYS)

• Prep grocery bags for Tuesday distribution 

• Sorting donations (must be able to lift 20 pounds)

  • unpack donated items and sort accordingly by category

  • check for damages and expiration dates

  • add dates (month and year) to each item

  • tray like items

  • store in prepping room with like items (by category and dates)

• Prepare dog food and cat food bags

*Tuesdays (5:30 pm - 8:00 pm) - every week, every other week or as needed

(WE ARE NOW AT VOLUNTEER CAPACITY ON TUESDAYS)

• Cart Escort - loading groceries in a cart and escort neighbors to their vehicles to unload (must be able to lift 20 pounds)

• Sorting donations (must be able to lift 20 pounds)

  • unpack donated items and sort accordingly by category

  • check for damages and expiration dates

  • add dates (month and year) to each item

  • tray like items

  • store in prepping room with like items (by category and dates)

• Prepare meat, bakery and vegetable bags

• Assist in other areas as needed 

*Additional volunteer opportunity - as needed on Tuesday nights (5:30 pm - 8:00 pm)

• Bi-Lingual Resource Manager - as needed on Tuesday nights (5:30 pm - 8:00 pm)

  • conduct intake with new neighbors

  • must speak conversational English and Spanish, additional languages are also helpful 

  • must abide to strict confidentiality of our new neighbors and the information they share

Due to the population we serve, we ask for a minimum of a 6-month commitment; every week, every other week or as needed.

Unfortunately, at this time, we are unable to accommodate high school community hours.  All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
