Candidate Self-Evaluation Survey

This questionnaire is intended to help members understand how closely candidates' views align with the values and policy priorities of Indivisible CenTex. 

Instructions Provided to the Candidates:

Please complete this self-evaluation survey honestly and thoroughly. Candidates may respond based on honest personal opinion, demonstrated past actions, voting records, community involvement, and/or commitments/campaign pledges, if elected.

For each statement, rate your level of alignment, from 1 - 5, using the following scale:

"I bring decades of proven leadership to Bell County, including my time as Vice President of the Killeen Economic Development Corporation, where I partnered with community colleges and trade schools to align workforce training with real employer needs. I have a strong record of creating jobs, improving infrastructure, and supporting public safety. With deep ties to local businesses, civic groups, and Fort Hood contractors, I know how to get things done. My practical, collaborative approach ensures the needs of Bell County residents come first. I have been a proud member of my community for more than 26 years. I have served as a city councilmember and community college trustee and have been proud to champion forward causes for our community. I am also proud to have been endorsed by other progressive organizations like New Politics and VoteVets as well as being rated a Gun Sense candidate by Moms Demand Action."

"In 2000, I moved to Bell County to join my husband on his assignment at Fort Hood. I didn't know a soul in Killeen, Harker Heights, or Fort Hood. For over the next 22 years, I worked with the Fort Hood Garrison Chaplain's Office as a private contractor, supporting soldiers

and their families through deployment, loss, and transition. I became part of this community and this community became a part of me. Here's my record of service for the last 26 years and supporting evidence:

I Served on the Harker Heights City Council, advocating for neighborhood

infrastructure, public safety, and economic development.

Civil Rights Leadership: I served as Political Chair of the Killeen NAACP, leading voter

registration drives, community forums, and advocacy for racial justice and equal opportunity.

Community Organizations: I served with the Harker Heights Library, Harker Heights Animal

Shelter, Special Olympics, food pantries, the local Sickle Cell Anemia organization, and multiple nonprofits dedicated to supporting families in crisis."
