The voice is an instrument like any other . Perhaps even the most amasing and complex of all. Just like other instruments like a Ukulele or Piano, you get better and better over time when singing over time.
Kids learn to understand the voice, to control the vocal cords , to use the resonating spaces and the breath .
Learners will notice how, step by step, inch by inch, they are able to control the notes and breath better. A good dose of self-confidence indeed! Its been noted that singing can reverse bad moods and depression, and it costs nothing to sing when you're at home, zero.
When they sing together with others , they feel connected to them. Kids and adults feel happy, protected and simply at ease in a singing community . A choir, a band or simply the group singing together spontaneously form a unity of like-minded people.
Enrolment in a one-to-one or group singing course is an excellent way for kids to progress more quickly and to receive high-quality personalised singing instruction.
We can help your kids hit the right note for their favourite song. We're here to help. At Belfast Dreams School of Music, You are our Star!

If you’re one whose musical tastes developed in the 90s, then these names are going to bringing back a lot of memories as you read.
Not only will it be a trip down memory lane for those who were raised in music during the 90s era, it may have given some feeling of a second brand of 60s music, first to fans of classic rock who have discovered these 90s bands, but those as well from younger generations who weren't around for either the 60s or 90s but love the music anyway.
Give a if you remember or still listen to these?
Nirvana
Green day
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
The Cranberries (perhaps the last rugby match:))
Pearl Jam
Oasis
Blur
Alice in Chains
Soundgarden
Why does it matter to music lovers and musicians ? So many of us listen to, or play the music of either decades or both and may not always see the connection or similarities. That's due to the engineering which is so much better over the in-between years. Think about the last time you were out and saw a live show, bet fred it wasn't exactly like the 60s sound unless it was a tribute band.
We can bring those eras together for you, to improve your playing or singing style using both decades . These ideas are life changing, when you realise how much you know already and can apply them right now, even today to your singing or playing style.

One of our members from as far back as the 90s is Geoff pictured here on the island of Inis Mór in Galway. 🌴 Before taking out his Bodhran, Geoff is showing us the art of standing up in 80 to 90 mph winds 🌬 no matter if its playing outdoors, playing inside with the windows open or even on a boat in the Atlantic! ⚓️
Geoff's famous line was, 'if the wind stops blowing the sheep🐑 and cows🐄 would fall over' still rings true today. The song 'I'm Still Standing' or 'Blowing in the Wind' comes to mind. 😎 As always, Geoff would never miss a beat! 🥁
You never know when entertaining what the environment might be. Expect the unexpected, as you have to be ready for anything! 😁 Equipment ready, lines in place will always be helpful 🎤🪗🎻, but when out on the western islands as shown here, the residents 👦👩🦱 might want instant renditions of their favourite song when seeing the bodhran and guitars coming their way down the footpaths during the 'blow' of an afternoon.
If you need any help in fixing those niggly issues when playing in unfamiliar places 🚣♀️or 🛳, whether large halls, smalls halls, in the windy outdoors or at your nannas house, ring us, book at time and we'll help you sort out every part of your important event. 🎉

We are looking for 4 to 6 people interested in a creative song writing course for this year's schools summer programme. During the course, you will have access to plenty of learning materials to choose from, such as samples , exercises, and techniques that will help you develop your songwriting skills.

You'll learn about melody , and harmony , ase well as lyrics, chords, structure, combining them into a memorable song. You'll also gain valuable insights about exciting opportunities available to songwriters today.
The course is 4 weeks over the summer in August and an hour each. It begins Wednesday afternoons at 4pm beginning 2 August 2023.
We can certainly help one another by giving each other ideas and support , while collaborating together on songs that matter to each of us, and meet others who desire the same thing. Brilliant! All ages and abilities welcome.
