Mick thanks for all your time and patience with J (10 years old). C&J

As a once stand up comedian, who wanted another string to his bow, Mick has inspired me to pursue music further than the reaches of my bedroom in a matter of weeks. His passion for music is so clear, it's infectious! Mick is one of the most easy to talk to & inspiring tutors I've had the pleasure to meet in my short 22 years and I can safely say I'll stay with him for the foreseeable future.  Mick M

I always wanted to learn the guitar and could not learn it by myself (everyone thinks maybe they can learn off YouTube).  From the first lesson, I knew it was right since I learned more in one lesson than when I tried to learn off of YouTube myself.  I feel at ease, its a good environment, and its enjoyable too.  Bob

Fantastic tutor, very patient with my daughter who has never played guitar before, I would definitely recommend.  Y & A

Can see are daughter improving with each lesson.  A brilliant tutor...  L, 14.07.2017

I have been very impressed with Mick's teaching methods and style.

From the beginning, we discussed my goals and objectives from the lessons and he has always worked towards these. He was clear upfront about the likely time frame it would take to achieve and I have been very pleased with my progress under his tutelage.  Technically, he has taught me things that I was unaware of and, by having greater awareness, I am now able to be much more consistent. Mick is very friendly and easy-going but is still honest enough to correct you where he sees the need. I would highly recommend anybody thinking about getting lessons to use Mick.. "Mick began teaching me the Ukulele 6 months ago. I started as a complete amateur and Mick has been very encouraging and has really helped me develop. The sessions are enjoyable and informative, and Mick sets me achievable goals. Mick is an excellent tutor and I would highly recommend him”  Simon, 25.07.2018

"Fantastic. I started as a complete novice having never played an instrument before. The lessons with Mick have a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. He pushes you to get better within the limit of your ability and do not feel at all pressured, rather I would say I am encouraged. The amount I have progressed on the mandolin is extraordinary, I would never have believed that I can play the songs that I am currently working on."  Mark, 08.08.2018

"Mick was polite courteous and patient and very knowledgeable.  He provided a wealth of tips and advice.  He also provided me with chord charts to practise at my own pace.  And I am looking forward to my next lesson."  Kevin T, 25.08.2018

"I feel I am getting my money's worth and I've had an excellent time so far.  Thank you for the excellent lessons!  I'd highly recommend you to any of my friends or family!"  Patrick, 15.7.2019

“If you do learn one thing at a time, as time goes by, you have learned ten things, you have built a foundation.  If the foundation is not right, it falls down.  The teacher must have a lot of patience and Mick has had a lot of patience in my learning!  You have to do it all the time, your fingers need to know where the strings are, and Mick has helped me to do just that.”  James, 04.08.2019

Mick thank you for sharing your expertise with me. Since I was a kid I always wanted to play a musical instrument and was introduced to the mandolin after walking into a local pub in Peterborough, England a stumbled on a jamming session of Irish folk music. I tried a teacher for mandolin nearby me, I did not find much progress with him and so I let him go. There are no other mandolin teachers with 100 miles of me. I am a Belfast boy and was so fortunate to locate you on the internet. Our lessons are very enjoyable and I have learnt a lot in a short space of time. I am always tentative before the lessons as I am not very confident yet, I always leave felling that I have learned something. So thank you for your patience it is greatly appreciated.  Richard, 13.10.2019

My lockdown challenge in 2020 was to learn to play the Ukulele. However for me this was more of a challenge than I had thought of at first. I decided to begin lessons at the Belfast Dreams School of Music. With Mick's help and patience I am enjoying my 'challenge' and have made very good progress. Many thanks Mick for making the lessons so enjoyable and breaking down your instructions so I could understand and find joy in my lockdown challenge.  Thank You for sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm and love of music. I really enjoy learning to play the Ukulele. T Nolan,  January 2022

Took my daughter to Mick for singing lessons and from the start he was able to get the best from her voice with techniques, tips and of course his experience.
