BILA.outdoors empowers teachers — especially Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and educators navigating career challenges — through bespoke coaching and adventurous experiences. Our mission is to support career growth, personal well-being, and build a resilient professional community.
We offer tailored coaching (1:1 and group sessions), wellbeing support, and adventure-based retreats in stunning locations like Wales, Cyprus, Norway, and Borneo. As the community grows, so do the opportunities for connection, empowerment, and professional fulfilment.
As a professionally certified coach with a wealth of experience teaching and leading in schools, internationally and in the UK, holding an 'Outstanding Teaching and Leadership in Education', NPQML and Forest School Leadership. I have been part of delivering high performing professional coaching programmes over a range of settings. Most of the time, people don't realise they are being coached, it can simply be a great discussion to unlock wider opportunities and greater potential. The skill in professional coaching is in supporting and building the intrinsic level of action, but a level of commitment and resilience will make the difference.
Over 70% of ECTs don't progress beyond their first 6 years of teaching, from a range of factors but primary - stress and a loss of love of the trade. What if an experienced teacher could ask you the right questions to unlocking the realistic SMART goals, and the support to see it through.
I have discovered that the GROWTH model becomes a self-coaching strategy and I believe that following a successful BILA GROWTH, you will be far more prepared to make the future progress you desire as a self prepared coach.
A short-term coaching programme would typically last around 10 weeks (1 term).
From as little as £50 per month, you could have a coach to thrive and grow to a successful teaching career. You would be part of a BILA for educators team with monthly community calls and invites to more affordable, intrepid travelling adventures, in international settings.

Without the commitment, your vision will just be a distant dream, where the dream becomes more of a nightmare as the pressures of being an educator mount up.
