WORKING LAYER - any layer that has zero pieces solved on it and therefore can be rotated and have pieces placed on it with out worry of destoying any solved peices.
PARTIALLY RESTRICTED LAYER - a layer that has at least one piece solved on it. This layer maybe rotated but must then be returned to original position in order to retain the sovled piece.
RESTRICTED LAYER - a layer that is solved or partially solved and therefore shouldn't be moved so it remains solved.
FACE - the 2d side of a layer. Refers to the 9 colours (stickers) on the surface only.
LAYER - the 3d representaion of a side itself plus the 3 colours/stickers along each of the 4 sides attached to it.
PB - personal best. Fastest time you solved a cube while timing.
POSITION - refers to a location on the cube (not a piece). Example the DL refers to the down left edge and the UFL refers to the corner area in the upper front left.
ADJUSTMENT - means to rotate a side until certain conditions are met. Example rotating the head lights to the back in step 3.
Good Edge - any edge (in step 4) that has yellow or white facing up or down
Bad Edge - any edge (in step 4) that dosnt have white or yellow facing up or down. so in effect any of the other 4 colours (red, green, orange, blue) facing up or down is bad.
