One of the prime motivators for this project comes from watching and hearing so many phenomenal virtual concerts, either broadcast live or mixed later, by so many talented artists and orchestras, old friends included among them. I'm a trumpet player myself, and miss the opportunity of performing with others.
After trying out my play-along videos, and if you want to and have the time to participate further, you are cordially invited to help me create a collaborative community of instrumentalists, singers, and conductors to bring forth our own virtual reading sessions of these works!
I'm in the process of creating BandLab project pages, a browser-based Digital Audio Workstation where anybody can collaborate in real-time, and see each new instrumental recording as they're added. Let me know if you want to be a part of this and I'll send you a link!
I very much look forward to hearing from you, getting to know you, and to learn about your story and what you have to offer. The world is wide and far-flung, but there's always time and space for a little musicking.
Raw Click-Track & Mock-Up Audios
If you would like to try recording yourself on your preferred software just by following the videos (available on each composition's page), that's fine. However, you may find it easier to include the mock-up or click-track audio files as separate tracks in your own personal Digital Audio Workstation, whether it be Audacity, Garageband, Logic, or ProTools, or whatever else the kids are calling hip and cool these days.
You can download these raw tracks below, either as just the solo click-tracks or with both the click-track and the mock-ups.
Take care,
Ben
