Christmas Tree Festival
The Christmas Tree Festival in St Mary's Church, Warwick, is open until Sunday, 7th December, between 10 am and 4 pm (Sundays from 12 pm) there will be a 'pop up cafe' with tea, coffee and cakes.
Inside the church are over 70 beautifully decorated trees from Schools, Charities and local businesses. Our Bee Tree is decorated to inspire people to think of nature and, of course, Bees!
Eight large Bee baubles represent rare or interesting bees. These are hand-painted and varnished; the wings are made from wire wrapped in cellophane and heat-shrunk.
At the bottom of the tree, we show how queen bumblebees hibernate in small underground holes covered with bark, moss or leaves. So it is really important not to disturb the leaves, as you may hurt the queens who produce the next generation.
